dav-text software package provides A minimalist ncurses-based text editor, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dav-text
dav-text is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dav-text package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dav-text *
You will get with dav-text package name, version, architecture and description in a table
